Located on the banks of the Swan River on the Nedlands Foreshore in the heart of the western suburbs, Nedlands is one of the most successful and high profile rugby clubs in Western Australia.
Established in 1934, the club boasts the most impressive trophy cabinet of any club in Western Australia. The first grade alone has won 15 premierships and featured in the grand final 17 times since 1980.
We are a very multi-cultural club with members from countries including Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, USA, Canada, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, Samoa, Tonga, France, England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. We pride ourselves on our commitment to rugby excellence and our friendly and supportive social environment.
The real strength of any organization is not in the individuals that make up the organization, but in how those individuals work together and support each other to achieve a common goal. Cooperation, support and loyalty have always been key elements of Nedlands culture.
Nedlands strongly believes in the importance of everyone in the club knowing where were going in the future in order to create a unified sense of direction.
To this end, the club has a strategic plan covering the period 2005 2010, which details our Mission, Vision and goals for the next five years.

A key driver in our planning is the advent of the Perth Super 14 team in 2006. This is a huge boost for the profile of rugby in WA and apart from giving us the opportunity to watch top class rugby; it provides an opportunity for our younger players to have a crack at the elite level. The Super 14 decision means that the game in WA will grow in profile as well as playing numbers and our planning is about getting in a position to take advantage of that growth and maintain our reputation as the premier club in Perth.
